Organic Agriculture Program Info: Students wanting a hands-on, B.S.-degree experience thrive in the organic agriculture systems major. WSU has a four-acre certified organic teaching farm, which is currently expanding to a 30-acre, multi-disciplinary organic farm and community center. Here students learn to produce and manage certified organic vegetables, fruit, herbs, grains, and flowers that they distribute through local food banks, on-campus food service, a 100-member CSA (community supported agriculture), and a local farmers market. Washington State University also offers an online and on-campus 18-credit Certificate in Organic Agriculture, which can be taken by anyone as a stand-alone educational experience.
