Be at the forefront of an emerging technology field: Geographic Information Science. New career opportunities in GIS are emerging every day. In fact, it’s one of the top 10 growth professions in the U.S. Think about the person who takes pictures for Google Earth. Or maps out the routes for self-driving cars. Or helps plot out the most efficient way to deliver packages. You’ll follow a curriculum that blends geography, cartography, photogrammetry and computer science. You’ll learn how to store, analyze and display geographic data. And you’ll get hands-on experience from faculty who are at the top of their game. They will serve as mentors and guides, helping you select internships and field work that will enhance your career opportunities. As a computer network and system administrator, you will have your hands on the pulse of a company’s computer network. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, including WANs, LANS and intranets. As business continues to invest in newer and faster technologies and mobile applications, your job will become even more critical.
