Mechanical Engineering

Program Info: The Mechanical Engineering program is a four-year project-based curriculum that balances theory, simulation and laboratory exercises needed to model, analyze, design, and realize physical systems, components, and processes. Key elements of this program include a curriculum with open-ended team-based design problems that may include students from other disciplines. These real-world experiences and practical problem-solving techniques are organized to stress a design/simulate/test development cycle. The program applies Wentworth’s educational model of a laboratory-based curriculum along with two cooperative work experiences to foster a state-of-theart learning environment. Students gain the educational background necessary to pursue a professional career, including professional license registration and advanced degrees.
