Toledo, OH
College of Education
From preschool to high school, from science and technology to special education and physical education, UT's Judith Herb College of Education’s vision is to help you discover your full potential by giving you the power of choice. Through our programs, you have many options — options to choose a specific field, choose a single or dual degree, or even choose where to student teach.
As an education major, you'll study in Gillham Hall, which was completely renovated and updated to house state-of-the-art computer labs and well-equipped classrooms. You'll also have opportunities for student teaching and service in Toledo and around the world. UT is the largest training site for Camp Adventure™, which lets education majors spend their summer working with the children of U.S. military personnel stationed around the world. All of this in an environment focused on personal attention (the student-to-faculty ratio is 17:1) and outstanding outcomes (graduates have a 97.8 percent passage rate on the Praxis III exam for beginning teachers).
