Landscape Architecture
Texas Tech prepares individuals to enter the landscape architecture profession in private firms, as well as local, state, federal agencies and nonprofit organizations. Our academic program provides a sound grounding in theory and technology, which is put into practice through our design studio and related courses. We offer license-qualifying landscape architecture degrees at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Our five-year undergraduate and three-year graduate programs have been fully accredited since 1972 and 2003 respectively. In today’s complex world, landscape architects play a variety of roles ranging from designers to conservationists. Students gain a working knowledge of plants and construction, and an understanding of the way natural, social and cultural systems influence design.
