Athletic Training The mission of the Athletic Training Education Program at the University of New England is to provide a comprehensive curriculum designed for individuals who want to enhance the quality of health care for active persons and to advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries.
Many UNE athletic training education graduates are employed in and around Maine and New England in positions such as head athletic trainer, assistant athletic trainer, and strength and conditioning specialist.
The UNE Athletic Training Education Program is an undergraduate program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
