Program Info: Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering laboratories are examples of the importance Lawrence Tech places on the Civil Engineering Program. For example, the environmental and fire test chambers within the nationally recognized Center for Innovative Materials Research are considered state-of-the-art.

The Structural Testing Center, housing some of the largest testing equipment in the region, provides a high-tech facility for undergraduate and graduate civil engineering students to perform experiments and tests on various structural elements. Other laboratories, such as Hydraulics/Hydrology and Environmental, feature equipment that is identical to that found in industry-based facilities.
