Product Design: From personal music technology, shoes and snowboards, to chairs for casual living rooms and seats for futuristic cockpits, product designers must rely on their creative thinking and problem solving skills to produce the things we use every day. They must also have an understanding of the production and marketing of consumer goods. In short, it’s all about the creation of new items that people will buy.
Students in the CCS Product Design Department build a solid foundation of drawing, design, color and human ergonomics. This leads to the understanding of how to turn ideas into products, from toothpaste dispensers and lounge chairs, to running shoes and power tools.
Transportation Design: Imagine inventing an amazing new car. Then imagine watching it go into production. CCS graduates participate in this process every day in key jobs around the world. Most cars on the road today bear the influence of CCS alumni, and CCS enjoys an unparalleled reputation in the field.
The CCS Transportation Design Department will give you the skills you need to work in top positions for top carmakers. At CCS you will gain both technical and creative skills and an insider's view of how the industry works. Our remarkable faculty know the business and what it takes to succeed.
